Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Every app works without signing in: skip the account step and everything stays on your device, with nothing sent to us. Sign in only if you want your data on a second device or want to link up with a coach.
Is it free?
Yes — no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no ads, nothing locked behind a payment.
Sync isn't working
The apps work offline and catch up when they can: a failed upload is shown in the app and retried by itself. If somebody you linked with can't see your data, refresh on their side and check that the link is active under Network in the app.
Apple Health and Health Connect
With your permission the app reads your weight, workouts, steps, sleep and nutrition, and writes your weight, completed workouts and daily nutrition back. Nutrition is replaced per day rather than added to, so repeated syncs don't stack up. Change or revoke access in Settings → Health on iOS or in the Health Connect app on Android. If a category was denied, the app shows a label instead of inventing a number.
Apple Watch
Install the watch app from the Watch app on your iPhone; it appears after the phone app has been opened once. Start the workout on the phone — the plan travels to the watch. Keep the two reasonably close, and a set logged on the wrist while the connection is down is queued and re-sent, so nothing is lost mid-set.
Linking with a coach
Send a request from Network in the app. Nothing is shared until the other side accepts, and you can end the link at any time from the same screen. Coaches work in a browser at train.fitfrog.cc — they see only people who accepted them.
Scanning a barcode
Barcodes come from the Open Food Facts database, which is community-maintained and does not cover every product. An unknown barcode can be logged as your own product with its own macros. If the camera doesn't open, check the camera permission in your device settings; the preview steps aside as soon as you start typing a search.
Import and export
You can import an exported training file and keep it as ordinary history, or export your program and completed sessions to a spreadsheet to send anywhere. An exercise the catalog doesn't know is imported under its own name and reported afterwards rather than dropped.
Account and data
Any single entry, workout or plan can be deleted in the app, and the deletion reaches the server on the next sync. To remove the account and everything synced with it, write to us from the address you signed in with — see the privacy policy for the details. Your display name is set in the app's setup step and can be changed by running setup again.
Credits
Product data comes from Open Food Facts, a free and open database of food products, used under the Open Database License (ODbL). A product it returns is stored with your food log the way any other logged product is.
